“The ice was good,” said Jordan Stoltz, Team USA’s best shot at winning gold in the men’s speed skating event ahead of competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
MILAN — Jordan Stoltz has resumed his quest for four gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
And it continues.
Stolz won the men’s 500 meters at the Milan Speed Skating Stadium on Saturday, February 14th, earning his second gold medal and setting a new Olympic record during the Games.

Paired with Jenning de Vu of the Netherlands, Stolz finished in a time of 33.79 seconds, another Olympic record for the 21-year-old from Wisconsin. Dutchman De Bouw won the silver medal, and Canada’s Laurent Dubreuil won the bronze medal.
To earn his fourth gold medal, Stolz must win the final two races, the 1,500 meters on Thursday, February 19th and the mass start on Saturday, February 21st.
Stolz set a new Olympic record and won his first Olympic gold medal in the men’s 1,000 meters on Wednesday, February 11th.
Only two other people have won four gold medals in a single Winter Olympics, and only speed skating legend Eric Heiden won five gold medals in 1980.
