Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with a “aggressive” form of prostate cancer.
WASHINGTON – Joe Biden recently underwent skin cancer surgery, confirmed by USA Today, a spokesman confirmed to USA Today, months after the former president was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
According to a spokesman, 82-year-old Biden underwent MOHS surgery, a common procedure for treating skin cancer, but did not provide any other information. Biden was diagnosed in May as a “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that spread to the bone.
According to a statement in May, he was “experienced with urinary symptoms” and a “nodule” was discovered in his prostate.
The former president thanked his supporters for “love” him and his wife after his diagnosis.
“Cancer touches all of us. Like many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are the strongest in the place where we broke,” Biden posted on social media on May 19th.
The Biden family had previously been devastated by cancer. The former president’s son, Beau Biden, died of a brain tumor in 2015.
