Jimmy Kimmel defends freedom of speech for an emotional return
Jimmy Kimmel made a powerful defense of free speech and tearfully said he had no intention of revealing the murder of Charlie Kirk.

“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert and “Late Night” star Seth Meyers joined Jimmy Kimmel for a social media post captioned “Hi Donald!”
In a special talk show crossover, Colbert was the guest on the episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on September 30th. However, the photos show that Meyers made a surprising appearance while taping the show.
Like Kimmel, both Colbert and Myers were Trump critics, in solidarity with “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The hosts after ABC temporarily suspended the show after criticism from Brendan Kerr, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, where Trump was appointed.
Kerr reflected complaints from broadcast titans Sinclair Broadcasting Group and Nexter Media Group over Kimmel’s controversial comments about Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting. On September 26, the companies halted talk shows preemption across the ABC station after they refused to broadcast the show, even after Disney and ABC regained it.
Colbert celebrated Kimmel’s show’s return on September 22nd episode of “The Late Show,” saying “Our long national late night is over.”
“Great news from my dear friend Jimmy and his amazing staff. You’re so happy with them. Plus, Jimmy hasn’t been cancelled so you can enjoy this again,” he said.
Trump has not withheld any minor dares against Kimmel, Colbert or Myers, and is threatening to sue ABC after celebrating the July cancellation of “Late Show” and bringing “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Returns to the air. Truthfully societal, Trump suggested that Myers and Jimmy Fallon should both host the show on NBC next.
“American great news: the rated Jimmy Kimmelshaw is cancelled. Congratulations to ABC for giving us the courage to do what we have to do in the end,” Trump wrote on September 18th.
