Jimmy John’s launches Pickle Witch – people’s reviews are mixed
For a limited time, Jimmy John’s has released the Pickle Witch, a sandwich made from hollowed out pickles.
Pickle fans gather! Jimmy John’s promises to be “all in on your salty obsession” with the launch of a pickle-themed menu, including the much-talked-about Pickle Witch.
“Jimmy John’s fans are our Jimmy Pickle freaks, and last year Pickle Witch took the internet by storm. This year, we wanted to give die-hard Pickle fans even more to celebrate,” Kate Carpenter, Jimmy John’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
According to the brand, the lineup also includes “the debut of Pickle Ranch, the return of Pickle Jimmy Chips, and the introduction of Triple Pickle, the ultimate pickle lover’s dream.”
The restaurant said its new lineup of innovative, six mouth-watering pickle-filled options will “satisfy all the salty cravings” of pickle lovers around the world.
Jimmy John’s is also joining forces with pickle lover Demi Lovato to celebrate its newest menu item. Demi Lovato loves pickles so much that she named her dog after them.
What’s on Jimmy John’s pickle menu?
Jimmy John’s limited pickle menu includes the following items:
- pickle witch: The cult-favorite sandwich that sparked a national pickle craze last year is back with six popular sandwiches including Vito, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna and Vegetable.
- Pickle Ranch: A new dipping sauce that brings your favorite pickle flavor to everything. JJ says, “Great to pair with pickle witches or anything else that needs a little more of a pickle kick.”

- Triple pickle meal: “Great Sale” featuring Pickle Witch, Pickle Jimmy Chips, and Pickle Ranch.
What is Pickle Witch?
A regular sandwich has toppings and meat sandwiched between two or more pieces of bread, but the Pickle Witch uses pickles instead of bread.
The Picklewich “combines all the signature fresh flavors of a traditional Jimmy John’s sandwich,” but with the added twist of replacing the bread with a giant kosher dill pickle to provide “a juicy, crunchy, satisfying bite,” Jimmy John’s said earlier.
How to get Jimmy John’s new pickle menu
The entire Jimmy John’s Pickle Witch lineup will be available for a limited time at participating Jimmy John’s stores nationwide starting October 27th, but JJ Rewards members will have early access during a special Pickle Freak Weekend running from Friday, October 24th to Sunday, October 26th.
“Loyalty members will be the first to experience the complete Pickle platform before it launches nationwide on October 27,” Jimmy John’s said.
