Manny Pacquiao’s son prepares to make professional boxing debut
Jimuel Pacquiao reveals how he’s preparing for his first professional boxing fight against Brendan Lally and how his father has influenced his career.
The Ring 6 card leading up to the premier fight between Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez Jr. has been an interesting one so far. It’s not always because of boxing.
The heavyweight bout between Jarrell Miller and Kingsley Ibe is one of the strangest (and hilarious) events boxing has ever seen, and maybe even the most bizarre yet.
In the second round, Miller received a powerful punch from Ibe that literally knocked his wig off his head. The adhesive on what was clearly a wig loosened and fell off Miller’s head.
Miller smiled at the hairless hit, and after the round, he completely removed his hair and threw it into the Madison Square Garden crowd.
Miller ultimately won by split decision, improving his record to 27-1-2, including 22 KOs. Ibe fell to 16-4-1 with 14 KOs.
After the game, Miller was all smiles and in good spirits. He joked that Ibe “knocked that (thing) off.”
The wig was safely retrieved and cared for by World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman and British professional boxer Fabio Wardley after it was handed out to spectators.
