“Naked Gun” co-stars Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are the latest focus on Hollywood romance rumors.

The Hollywood A-listers, behind the 1980s and 90s action franchise reboot (at theaters on August 1st), appeared on the “Today” show with Coanchor Craig Melvin.

“What is the deal here?” Melvin asked in the July 29 episode, working on “red carpet action” and “passionate” on-screen kisses. “You’re both single now. There’s obviously chemistry on display throughout the film. Are you two items?”

Neeson, 73, replied, “Craig!” “What? I don’t understand the question,” said Anderson, 58. Neeson then told Melvin, “I had never met Pamela before. We met on set, and we discovered that as two actors there was a lovely, budding chemistry.”

Neeson added that their approach to chemistry was, “Oh, this is fine. Don’t put this into shape. Let’s just let them breathe.”

Neeson had previously been married to British actress Natasha Richardson from 1994, who died in 1994 and 2009 at the age of 45, but Anderson had four husbands.

Last week, when his co-stars posed on the red carpet at the film’s London premiere, Anderson leaned in and gave Neeson a smooch on his cheek. When they took a photo with one of the film’s producers, she was seen clutching the Oscar nominee’s hands around her left hip.

On “Today,” Melvin insanely told his co-stars, “We’re seeing the beginning of a breathing of a budding relationship,” as Anderson nervously laughed. The journalist said, “America is here.

Before the “Today” interview ended, Melvin complied Anderson, telling the “last showgirl” actress “You bring out another side of Liam Neeson” and “We hope you (both) return officially.”

In a recent “Entertainment Tonight” interview, the pair mostly kissed. When Anderson leaned over a kiss close to Neeson, the “ET” red carpet reporter said “so close” before Anderson said “Yeah, so close.” Neeson added, “We’re a good one.”

When asked if he was dating last year, Neeson told people: “No, I say it in a word. I’m past it all.” In an Instagram post on July 29th, the film’s New York premiere, Anderson’s caption included the message, “Love is in the air.”
