Indiana football’s winning mindset sets the stage for come-from-behind victory over Oregon State

The new US LBM Coaches Poll has been released and answers the biggest question of the weekend: How high can Indiana move up in the standings after the big win over Oregon? We’ll get there, but let’s start at the top.
Ohio State remains in first place after a road win at Illinois. The Buckeyes received 63 of 66 first-place votes. Miami, which had the weekend off, will take over the No. 2 spot held by Oregon. The Hurricanes were voted first by two panelists, with Indiana taking the top spot. The Hoosiers moved to No. 3 in the coaches poll, their highest ranking ever.
After Saturday’s win over Florida, Texas A&M is ranked No. 4 this week. After the Rebels struggled to dislodge Washington State, the Aggies inched past Mississippi State.

The University of Alabama defeated the previously undefeated University of Missouri and moved up to 6th place. No. 7 Georgia State and No. 8 Texas Tech each moved up two spots. Oregon State fell to No. 9 and LSU cracked the top 10.
Oklahoma State fell seven spots to No. 13 after losing to Texas State in Red River, while the Longhorns moved up two spots to No. 17. Missouri State dropped just two spots to No. 16, and Illinois remained at No. 25.
Southern California led a group of four teams in the rankings, coming in at No. 21 after defeating Michigan. No. 22 Utah and No. 23 South Florida also return to the polls, while No. 24 Cincinnati will make its season debut. Michigan State will be eliminated along with Iowa State, Penn State, and Arizona State.
