Wedding bells are ringing for Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce.
From the moment Taylor announced her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Swifties have been wondering where they would get married.
When we heard the persistent rumors that Taylor’s June wedding would be held at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, it made perfect sense. This sophisticated coastal hotel is steps from Swift’s private estate.
Although the wedding venue has not been officially announced, I have vacationed at Ocean House several times and can vouch for the understated luxury that would be ideal for celebrities like Taylor and Travis. I got to experience first-hand what it’s like to stay at this luxury resort.
Why did Taylor choose Ocean House?
Ocean House has long been rumored to be Taylor’s wedding location. It’s located near her Rhode Island home, large enough to accommodate a suite of famous friends, and downright adorable, dripping with Northeast charm.
The property has an intimate feel, with 46 guest rooms, 23 suites, and a cluster of cottages that provide privacy for the distinguished guests who will be attending the festival.
This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, a quiet stretch of white sand fringed with dune grass.
I’ve never attended a wedding at Ocean House, but it’s not hard to imagine how glamorous a beach wedding would be. If Swift doesn’t want to get married on a sandy beach, the well-maintained South Lawn with impressive ocean views would be equally stunning.
What kind of place is Ocean House? this is my experience
Perched on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Ocean House’s sunny yellow exterior welcomes me like a cool drink on a humid summer day. Step inside and you’ll be offered a glass of bubbly. I like to drink wine while sitting on the breezy balcony and looking out at the ocean.
The staff makes you feel like you’re at an upscale county club where other members have last names like Rockefeller and Vanderbilt. Taylor and Travis are used to this kind of attention, but I’m getting attention every second of it.
The cool coastal color palette leans toward marine blues with cream accents. I’ve stayed in rooms very close to the water, and hearing the sound of the waves makes me feel like I’m on a boat.
The property features a bar with complimentary adult beverages, marble bathrooms, and 24-hour valet service. Many rooms have fireplaces and terraces.
Ocean House offers a variety of activities that even non-athletes like me can enjoy, including croquet and yoga. Superstar athlete Travis could also challenge his older brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce, to a game of squash or book a tandem surfing lesson in the Atlantic waves.
Seafood from ship to table doesn’t get any fresher. I am always blown away by a sumptuous raw bar filled to the brim with freshly shucked locally sourced oysters, clams, and lobster, and I suggest adding it to your wedding menu.
When will Taylor Swift’s wedding be?
Taylor and Travis have yet to announce their wedding date, but people are pretty sure it’s on the cards. June 13, 2026. Graham Norton posted on February 27th that Taylor’s wedding date has been confirmed, indicating that their marriage is now confirmed. Looking at Ocean Hill’s calendar, rates range from $800 to $1,500 per night.
However, from June 12th to 13th, 2026, the price has jumped to $9,500. Additionally, they are marked as “restricted” and every time I try to book, it says I can’t stay that weekend.
This doesn’t confirm that Swift’s wedding will take place on this date, but it does indicate that the facility is expecting some wealthy visitors during that period (and is not available to us common folk).
Accommodations you can book near Ocean House
If you want to be near Rhode Island during Taylor’s rumored wedding, staying at the Ocean House is nearly impossible, even if you have $20,000 for two nights. If your wedding is indeed on Watch Hill, why not stay near the area and spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sightseeing in hopes of catching a glimpse of Swift, Kelce, or their famous entourage? However, please know that the chances of seeing a big celebrity up close are slim, as big celebrities come with a lot of security.
Be sure to rent a car as well. None of these accommodations are within walking distance, so we recommend staying somewhere cheap, then renting a car and driving to Watch Hill. Touro is a favorite place for local rentals (kind of like AirBnB for rental cars).
