Army Golden Knights Parachute Team Military Parade Practice
The Army’s Golden Knights Parachute Team is preparing to perform for months at the 250th Anniversary Military Parade.
The setting is set for a grand parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Army, which is on the same day as President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday and Flag Day.
The one-day festival will be held primarily on Saturday, June 14th at the National Mall in Washington, DC, with musical performances, fireworks and a gorgeous queue through the streets.
Over two dozen M1 Abrams tanks, many infantry vehicles and thousands of soldiers are expected to be involved in the event. Trump himself is currently watching the parade from a review stand just south of the White House, which is being built on the occasion.
USA Today is expected to cost around $40 million. This includes its promise to help the DC government deal with the aftermath of driving tanks on DC roads, and the president is called “peanuts.”
The last major military parade was held in 1991 to celebrate the end of the first Gulf War. This makes it a rare sight in Washington, D.C., and the massive military movement for the city comes just days after Trump sent 4,000 National Guard and 700 Marines to Los Angeles amidst immigrant crackdowns and protests.
