Car safety for kids in the summer heat
Safe children from around the world, Dr. Sadiqa Kendi is taking part in the Accuweather network on the importance of protecting children from the summer heat, especially in the dangers of hot cars.
- Car seat trade-in saves driver and parent money in a new car seat or other eligible baby gear.
- These savings can be bundled and used strategically to make expensive car seats more affordable.
According to Personal Finance Publication Kiplinger, baby gear prices are rising. Car seats range from $50 to $800 depending on the brand. What happens when your child outweighs the old car seat?
Americans can trade with discounts on other baby gear and old car seats thanks to events hosted by popular retailers.
What is Target’s Car Seat Interest Event?
Target car seat trading will run from September 21st to October 4th. Participants will receive a 20% discount on car seats after trading on old car seats for recycling purposes. Additionally, discounts can be used to purchase strollers and other baby items.
Although some specific exclusions apply, most new car seats in the target are eligible for a 20% discount via trade-in events. The 20% discount may not seem like that, but some of the Target car seats are over $300. A 20% discount on a car seat that costs over $300 can amount to more than $60 in savings (which could be a huge sum for new parents).
How drivers can take advantage of targeted car seat trade-in events
To claim a 20% discount on Trade-in Event, you must first download the target circle app. The target location has a designation box for drop-off of the car seat. Once you have unloaded the car seat in the box, you can scan the reded code of the drop-off box on the specified car seat via the app.
The redemption code is added to the wallet section of the target app. The code expires on October 18th. It can be redeemed twice in total and can be used for both online and in-store purchases.
Shoppers can save even more by combining a 20% discount with other qualification coupons and promo codes. The target accepts recycling car seats, including expired or damaged seats.
