How hot will it be? How long will it last?

The heat is here just in time for summer.

“The dangerous and widespread heatwaves burn the central and eastern US, bringing the hottest temperatures and unpleasantly sultry air of the year to the Midwest and Northeast.

Accuweather estimates that 170 million people will experience temperatures above 90 degrees during the building’s heat wave through next week.

“The magnitude and lifespan of this heat wave will impact the system,” said Chad Merrill, a senior meteorologist at Accuweather.

Heat alerts from the National Weather Service were installed on June 20th across large strips in the central and eastern US areas.

How long does the fever last?

Following the fountain in the plains on Friday, June 20th, fever will spread over the weekend in the Midwest and parts of the Great Lakes.

By Saturday, June 21st, the major heat will expand in the Midwest, with the extreme heat impact beginning in parts of Nebraska, where temperatures could reach triple digits. According to the Meteorological Bureau, extreme levels are defined as rare or long-term fever and little or no overnight relief.

The heat is then expected to continue moving across the Ohio Valley, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic Oceans later in the weekend until next week.

Accuweather said the heat wave continues to travel east, focusing on the Great Lakes, the Central Appalachians, the Mid-Atlantic Ocean and New England.

How hot will it be?

Daily high temperatures continued to go smoothly in the 90s, with overnight temperatures dropping only in the mid-70s, from the Great Lakes to the East Coast. The weather forecasting center said it would provide little or no relief to people without proper or reliable cooling. “The first important heat wave of the year could pose more risks,” the center said.

As heat builds up, people need to limit outdoor activities, maintain hydration and ensure access to air conditioning and other cooling areas.

“Fever fatigue and heat stroke can attack even physically fitting in the excitement of your life,” said Alex Sosnowski.

Why is it so hot? Debate the “Heat Dome”

Erdman said the heat wave is caused by changes in the jet stream pattern.

“Specifically, a high-pressure, high-pressure, high-pressure bubble known as the heat dome, occurs above the subsided air in the eastern part of the US near the center of the heat dome, and during this period, intense sunlight heats the ground and suppresses the air above it,” Erdman said.

The south-to-southwest winds draw hot, humid air from the south to the Midwest and northeast.

Wait, what? Montana snow!

Meanwhile, evidence of the vast size of the US makes snow and cold a story about Montana. Parts of Glacier National Park can see two feet of snow, the weather department said.

The Weather Service warned that “severe disruption to normal activities” and “we avoided danger or impossible conditions. If possible, avoid travel in affected areas.”
