HomeGoods, a sister store to TJ Maxx and Marshalls, says it plans to open five new stores on or before Nov. 6.
This store opening follows TJX Companies CEO Ernie Herman’s announcement of a goal to open at least 1,300 additional stores globally across TJX’s store portfolio in May 2024.
According to TJX’s website, the company’s first two stores opened in Massachusetts in 1977, and the company acquired Marshall’s in 1995. At the time, Marshalls was the second largest off-price retailer in the United States, with 496 stores.
Founded in 1992, HomeGoods offers “a wide selection of home fashions from around the world,” according to TJX’s website.
