Consumers can determine if they have purchased one of the affected products by checking the batch code on the back of the package.
What should consumers do if they receive a recalled product?
Consumers who purchase the biscuits should not feed the biscuits to their children and may return the product to the retailer of purchase for a refund.
The company said there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses from consuming the product, but it is acting with extreme caution following a supplier recall.
“We are working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and will cooperate fully throughout the review,” Gerber said. “The quality, safety and integrity of our products remains our top priority and we take this responsibility seriously. We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience this action will cause to parents, carers and retail customers.”
