In response to an article about Gayle King’s CBS Mornings facing an uncertain future, President Trump announced that “Gayle King’s career is over.”

Gayle King is known for finding friends wherever she is.
But the CBS Mornings co-anchor, also known as Oprah Winfrey’s best friend, struck up a surprising new friendship during a recent flight with none other than Fox News primetime host Jesse Watters.
King posted an Instagram caption on Monday, Oct. 20, saying, “Two TV guys from competing networks boarded a plane and lo and behold, they sat next to each other for over four hours. How was it? Speaking on behalf of @jessewatters: We all had a great time! Hey Jesse…save the number!”
On Monday night’s episode of “Jesse Watters Prime Time,” “Five” co-host Watters said King “was cool” during the flight, which lasted more than four hours.
While some comments praised King’s “unity” and “human decency,” others opposed the choice to publish King’s orgy, including former Ebony magazine editor Amy Dubois Burnett, who said she loved and respected King but said Watters was “harming our country.”
The post comes days after CBS News announced on Oct. 6 that it would appoint conservative thought leader Bari Weiss as the new editor-in-chief of the Free Press. Earlier this year, on August 4, President Donald Trump took aim at Dr. King.
“Gayle King’s career is over. She should have stuck to her faith in Trump,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “She didn’t have that courage. She didn’t have the talent, the recognition, or the power!!!”
The next day, she hit back at TMZ as she left the “Mornings” studio, saying she was “sorry” he wasn’t a fan of her journalism.
“It’s unfortunate that he feels that way,” she told the outlet. “I love what I do,” she continued, adding that she plans to “continue to do good work,” adding that Trump’s ire led her to join a club with celebrities such as Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and Stephen Colbert (all of whom the president has long criticized).
