Hosiery brand Bombas is expanding its horizons this fall with the opening of three brick-and-mortar stores, the brand’s first.

Founded in 2013 by Randy Goldberg and Daniel Heath, Bombas is known for its high-quality, often expensive socks. Bombus socks for adults and children, from ankle and calf socks to no-show socks and knee-high socks. In recent years, they have also expanded into underwear and slippers.

Bombas continues to see success in its online marketplace, but said about 65% of its shoppers buy socks in person, according to a company statement provided to USA TODAY.

In addition to the new stores, Bombas will expand its retail partnerships and sell products at Target and Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) stores starting in November, the statement outlined. The brand previously partnered with wholesale companies such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and Dillard’s to offer products in its stores.

Where will Bombas stores open?

Bombas will open three physical stores this year:

  • West Village, 345 Bleecker Street, New York City
  • Town Center, 6000 Glades Road, Boca Raton, Florida
  • Domain at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace in Austin, Texas

When will Bombas stores open?

The New York City store held its grand opening on October 17, according to a statement from Bombas. The Florida store is expected to open at the end of October, and the Texas store is scheduled to open in mid-November.

What will Bombas’ physical stores sell?

In addition to the obvious (socks), each store will also offer Bombas footwear, underwear, bralettes and T-shirts, according to a statement from Bombas.

Target and DSW will soon be selling Bombas

Bombas products will be available at Target and DSW starting in November. Target will carry only Bombas socks, while DSW will sell socks, slippers, slides and outdoor-style shoes, according to a statement from Bombas.
