In newly released emails, Mr. Epstein details the amounts and amounts he paid. Mr. Epstein said Mr. Trump was also aware.
President Trump asks Justice Department to investigate Democrats over ties to Epstein
President Donald Trump has called on the Justice Department and FBI to investigate Democrats linked to Jeffrey Epstein over posts on Truth Social.
Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who committed suicide while facing sex trafficking charges, details the sex acts he paid for, according to recently released emails.
In a typo-riddled email sent to journalists at 5 a.m. last year, Epstein wrote, “The girls returned to the house multiple times. They paid $200 for rubs and tugs. There was no sex. Some worked at lokaku massage parlors, and most were in their mid-20s.”
The exact date of the email, February 1, 2019, was months before the registered sex offender realized federal authorities were after him. The email is one of a slew of documents related to the case released by Congress in recent days.
Epstein’s emails and potential revelations about who may have been involved in the sex crimes are at the center of a massive battle in Washington, D.C., with Democrats seeking the release of files that include President Donald Trump’s name. Prominent Republicans, including U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, have also called for his release. The White House has called the release of the emails a “smear,” and President Trump has taken to social media to refer to the uproar as the “Epstein hoax.”
Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution from a minor and served 13 months in prison. He was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges in July 2019 and faces a maximum sentence of 45 years in prison. He died a month later by suicide in prison while awaiting trial.
Epstein repeatedly referred to President Trump in the email, saying he “spent hours at my house” and “knew the girls.” Mr. Trump attended Mr. Epstein’s parties and flew on Mr. Epstein’s plane in the 1990s, but later expelled Mr. Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club for recruiting female employees.
The email from early 2019 included specific references to Trump.
“Mr. Trump knew that and he came to my house many times during that time,” Epstein said.
As more details of the emails emerged, President Trump called on the Justice Department to investigate whether prominent Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton, were involved with Epstein.
“This is the new Russia, Russia, Russia fraud, and all arrows point to the Democratic Party,” the president said on his platform Truth Social. “Records show that these men and many others spent much of their lives with Epstein and on his ‘island.’ stay tuned! ! ! “
