Senate unanimously agrees to release records

The Epstein File Transparency Act heads to President Donald Trump’s desk for signature after passing the House and Senate on Tuesday.

meaning: The measure would require the federal government to release as much information as possible about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

  • An overwhelming bipartisan House vote: All Democrats and nearly all Republicans voted in favor of the bill.
  • However, the file may still not come out. Attorney General Pam Bondi could cite the ongoing investigation into Democrats connected to Epstein as a reason not to release them.
  • Epstein’s survivors helped draft the bill. The law includes measures to protect survivors, including the redacting of personal information.

President Trump woos Saudi prince at the White House

President Donald Trump welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a much-criticized human rights figure, to the White House on Tuesday for a heated meeting filled with promises of military and economic deals.
