NHL rescue dogs compete in the 2025 Stanley puppy so that they can be used for adoption
The 32 adorable rescue puppies representing each NHL team will compete in the 2025 Stanley puppies and will air on TRUTV and SportsNet on June 6th!
The Edmonton Oilers tied up the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup final after a massive comeback that had not happened for over 100 years.
They had to overcome the 3-0 first-term deficit and cohesion goals by Florida’s Sam Reinhart in Game 4 regulations before Edmonton’s Leon Draysight scored overtime in a 5-4 victory and a 2-2 series tie.
According to Canadian Network SportsNet, the Oilers are the first road team to win the final Stanley Cup match since the 1919 Montreal Canadiens.
The Panthers appeared to be in command early in Game 4. Matthew Tokachuk had the first goal of the series, with Alexander Barkov earning his first points and Anton Landell scored in the first period with a 3-0 lead.
“We were doing a bit of a Rorigag,” Draysightle told reporters. “It certainly isn’t Rorigag time, especially after being spitted out in Game 3.”
Corey Perry raised her voice during the break, Draysightle said. And Oilers coach Chris Noblauch pulled Stuart Skinner and decided to put backup goalkeeper Calvin Picard in the net at the start of the second term.
If the goal was to shake things up, it worked. The Oilers have returned to tie the game together by the end of the second season.
Picard played his part, stopping Rundel on breakaway after a turnover that was 3-1 following a goal from Ryan Nugent Hopkins. In Game 3, Sam Bennett scored in a similar situation against Skinner, allowing the Panthers to be pulled away.
“He was nothing but epic for us,” Draysitl said of Picard.
Darnell Nurse and Vasily Podkolzin tied the game, with Jake Walman scoring in the third term with a 4-3 lead. However, Reinhart added a game with Sergei Bobrovsky to get an extra skater. This was the only goal Picard allowed with 23 shots as he improved to 7-0 in the playoffs.

“He’s always scored big goals in big times and we’re going home with momentum,” Picard said of Draysightle.
The series heads to Edmonton, Alberta after a long flight to Game 5 on Saturday, June 14th.
“The teams that continue ahead and the teams that recover the fastest will have greater advantages on Saturday,” Tkachuk said.

Sam Reinhart tied the game with 19.5 seconds left as the Panthers finally defeated Calvin Picard. This series is heading for the third time overtime.

The Panthers have an 89-second power play to begin the period. Euler kills it.
The Oilers had no answer to the Panthers in their first period. The opposite happened in the second season when the storm returned to tie the game together. Sergei Bobrovsky doesn’t look good on his second goal. The decision to insert Oilers coach Chris Noblauch’s backup goalkeeper Calvin Picard will pay off when he stops Anton Randell after a turnover that scored 3-1. The shots during that period were 17-10 Edmonton.
Leon Draysithle disappears due to the elbow. Calvin Pickard saves Aaron Ekblad and 1:29 power play will be brought into the third season.
Evan Bouchard falls after being hit from behind by Carter Werhege. There are no penalties. TNT reports that Bouchard is heading to the dressing room.
Vasily Podkolzin ties it together after Darnell’s nurse goes behind the net and throws the pack in front. Euler has all the momentum.
Penalty killer Alexander Barkov is asked to delay the game after placing the pack on top of the glass. Florida kills it, but Sergei Bobrovsky needs to save the pads as Conor McDavid enters the zone at speed and rotates around Aaron Ekblad.

The Oilers goalkeeper hasn’t been much tested since joining the game at the start of the second term, but it stole it by Anton Landell and grows larger after the breakaway.
Dmitry Kulikov asked to hold the stick. Edmonton can now pull within the target. The Oilers get some looks, but Sergei Bobrovsky stops Leon Dreisitl and Ryan Nugent Hopkins. The penalty is killed.
The Oilers quickly attack the power play with Ryan Nugent Hopkins’ goal. Conor McDavid and Leon Draysight gain assists after being held back from the scoresheet in Game 3.

Stuart Skinner is out. There’s Calvin Picard. Skinner wasn’t at fault there, but the Oilers must be trying to shake things up.
The penalty once again costs the Oilers as a dominant period by Florida and Matthew Tokachuk scored two power play targets. It was 5-3 at first. With 42 seconds left, Anton Landell’s goal was a murderer. Tkachuk scores the first goal of the series, and Aleksander Barkov scores his first points. The shot was Florida 17-7. Stuart Skinner played well, but that’s just too many barrages.

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Kelse and 14-time Grammy winner Swift traded in hockey puck and football on Thursday, traveled to Sunrise, Florida, for the Stanley Cup final match between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.
The duo were walking to the suite at Amerant Bank Arena as nearby fans applauded. Kelse wore a red long-sleeved shirt and matching shorts. The Panthers need just four seconds to score 5-3. After winning the showdown with Alexander Barkov, Matthew Tokachuk enters the position and defeats Stuart Skinner through the 11:42 screen. That is the first point in Barkov’s series. Euler kills the second penalty.
Evander Kane is required for high-strength AJ Greer. Kane got caught up in penalty trouble in the final game. And after Darnell’s nurse defeats Alexander Barkov, it becomes 62 seconds 5-3.

NHL roster reports show that Edmonton will launch the Conor McDavid Line and Florida will face off against Alexander Barkov Line.
In addition to adding Jeff Skinner and Troy Stetcher to the lineup, the Oilers have moved Connor Brown to the top line and running Corey Perry. The defense pairing will also be changed.
Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (14-6, 2.15 average 2.15, .916 save rate) vs. Stuart Skinner of the Oilers (7-6, 2.84, .894). Drawn into Game 3, Skinner is 6-0 in Game 4 during his playoff career.
The Winnipeg Jets’ Conor Hellebuick became the first goalkeeper to win the Heart Trophy since Carrie Price in 2014-15. His 47 victory ranked second in history, with an average league-high 2.00 goals and eight shutouts. He finished second with a .925 save percentage.
Hellebuyck, who also won the Vezina Trophy, received 81 votes, totaling 1,346 votes. Edmonton’s Leon Draysitel finished runner-up with 53 votes and 1,209 points. Nikita Kuchelov (973 points) of Tampa Bay was the other finalist.
The Panthers have 11 players with double-digit points led by Sam Bennett (20), Carter Welhage (19), and Brad Merchand and Matthew Tokachuk (18 each). Bennett is the 14-year-old playoff major goal scorer.
The Oilers have the top three scorers in the series. Conor McDavid scored a league-high 31 points, followed by Leon Draysiterd (29) and Evan Bouchard (22).
Oilers coach Chris Noblauch has added Jeff Skinner and defensive man Troy Stetcher to the lineup. Forward Victor Arvidson and defensive man John Klingberg are appearing.
“We felt that we could use change and get those people to give us a boost,” he said. “We’ve seen it through the playoffs that made changes to the lineup, and it benefited us.”
Ryan Nugent Hopkins of Edmonton was considered a match time decision on June 11th, but it’s a sign that he’s there. He played over 15 minutes in Game 3.
