Live the fast life with the 2023 Nissan GT-R
A car enthusiast from Plant City, Florida, wanted to show off his 2023 Nissan GT-R. He says he spent countless hours customizing his car.

- The LA Auto Show has several special exhibit areas featuring exotic cars, custom cars, race cars, and more.
- The show runs through November 30th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Carlo Figueroa stood in front of a white Honda sports car holding a die-cast replica.
It wasn’t a coincidence. Figueroa, 25, of Redlands, Calif., was at the LA Auto Show on Saturday, Nov. 22, to see the car.
“Here’s a diecast model of my dream car, the Honda NSX Type R. I’m going to own one someday, and this represents that,” he said, explaining, “I’ve been obsessed with NSX ever since I was a kid.”
To call Figueroa, who comes to the show every year with his family, just a fan might not do him justice. He grew up with Hondas and his father is a “huge” Honda and Acura fan. His own set of wheels is a sleek black 2019 Honda Civic Type R with a California license plate that reads “NSXNEXT.” He happily showed the reporter a photo on his cell phone.
The NSX was on display in the Hall of Spark, one of several special exhibition areas at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Sparq is a California startup advancing vehicle diagnostic tools.
Replica cars from the Fast and Furious movie and game series were also on display, including two Nissan cars from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. Actors with ties to the series signed the dashboard, including Noel Gugliemi (who played Hector), Cody Walker (who played Brian O’Connor), and Chad Lindbergh (who played Jesse).
There were also real race cars on display, including the 2018 McLaren MCL33.
In another area near the West Entrance, the Showcase Hall on the fourth day of the show featured even more unusual vehicles, including some very unique Porsches, Ferraris, and even an SUV called the Rezvani Tank.
Near the entrance to the showcase hall, Daniel Herrera, 41, discussed the name of his red 2015 Lamborghini Huracan with his son Rogelio, 7, before moving on to look at the 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia. When asked by a reporter about his favorite car, Rogelio pointed to a yellow Ferrari.
He said he liked the color, seat and shape.
The Herrera family, who live in the Panaorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles, were having a father-son day when the older Herrera was off from his job as a mail carrier.
Herrera said he will probably be looking for a new vehicle next year to replace the 2006 F-150 he bought new about 20 years ago. However, the successor model is unlikely to be a sports car.
“I’m more of a truck guy,” he said.
