Jeffrey Epstein’s “Birthday Book” was handed over by his property. Here’s what the book reveals when lawmakers seek full disclosure:

- This letter was part of a book that contained many notes and letters given to Epstein on his 50th birthday in 2003.
- Trump and his team consistently denied the credibility of the letter, calling it a fake, and filed a lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal for initial reporting.
The House Oversight Committee has released a birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein, which is allegedly written by President Donald Trump.
Part of Epstein’s wider note book released on September 8th, the letter shows the mysterious conversation between “Jeffrey” and “Donald” surrounded by the contours of a woman, and the signature that was supposed to be signed in a public hair location.
The Wall Street Journal filed a lawsuit from the president who reported on the letter in July and called the story “false, malicious, and honourable.”
Even after the birthday letter was posted, the White House continued to call the letters fake. Here’s what you need to know about the new release:

Trump’s letter to Epstein was part of a book that contained dozens of other letters presented to Epstein in 2003 for his 50th birthday. Democrats on the committee posted the letters alone before Republican leaders posted the entire book.

Several well-known Republican influencers have questioned the validity of the letter, saying that the signature of the birthday letter appears to be different from the president’s signature.
An analysis in The New York Times notes that the signature of the letter reflects more closely the others from that period when Trump signs only in his name, not in the first and last.

“Mysteries never age:” What does mysteries mean?
The letter reads, “Enigma never gets old, have you ever noticed?” This line is attributed to the “Donald” in this mock conversation.
According to Merriam-Webster, “Enigma” is difficult to understand. It could also be a “mysterious person,” or an “ambiguous speech or writing.”
What did Trump say when the letter was first reported?
Trump previously refused to write the letter and sued the Wall Street Journal for reporting the letter in July. He said the letter was “fake” and that defendants Dow Jones & Company, News Corporation, owners Rupert Murdoch and reporters Kadilla Safdar and Joseph Palazzolo have been appointed in a lawsuit seeking $10 billion in damages.
“The Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch personally warned me directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter Trump printed to Epstein was fake and that if they printed it they would be sued,” Trump said in a true social post.
“These aren’t my words, they’re not the way I speak, and I don’t draw,” he said in another post.
Has Trump signed the letter? This is what his team says
Trump’s team continues to deny that the letter is from Trump.
“It’s very clear that President Trump wasn’t drawing this picture, as I’ve been saying, and he didn’t sign it,” the Carolyn Leavitt news agency said in a social media post on September 8th.
“That’s not his signature. A honour and loss!” White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budwich was posted on social media.
As lawmakers turn their eyes to voting to release all the files on Epstein, Trump calls the effort “a Democrat hoax.”
