Elon Musk officially leaves the Trump administration
Elon Musk is leaving the Trump administration after he allocated 130 days for the “special government officials” to end.
President Donald Trump responded to media reports regarding alleged drug use by billionaires during the 2024 presidential election, saying he regularly doesn’t know Elon Musk as he uses drugs.
The New York Times reported that during his 2024 campaign with Trump, Musk frequently used drugs such as ketamine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, citing an unnamed source.
Trump spoke to reporters on May 30 after returning from a rally in Pennsylvania. He denied knowledge of masked drug use and called him an “illusion.”
When asked if he was troubled by the report, Trump said: “I’m not troubled by anything with Elon.”
Reporters tried to ask for masks at an oval office event during the 2024 campaign. But Musk dodged the issue and criticized the New York Times report on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
“Let’s move on,” Musk said.
Musk is CEO of automakers Tesla and Rocket Company SpaceX and owns social media platform X. He admitted to using prescription ketamine in March 2024 to combat depression attacks. He was worried about corporate executives by smoking marijuana during his 2018 podcast.
