Dolly Parton wins peace 2024 through music award honors
The US Department of State and Recording Academy awarded 2024 Peace through Music Awards Honors for her philanthropy through music.
For decades, Dolly Parton has given fans country classics, but now she really brings them a real taste.
Country Music Legend has announced the release of a single serve frozen meal inspired by Parton’s “a favorite inspired by the precious South.”
Parton is working solely with American food company Conagra Brands to bring its product line “in a convenient and hassle-free format to homes across the country.” Parton, who previously partnered with the Conagra brand, also has a baking mix and frosting line with Duncan Hines.
The meals made to serve authentic flavors of Southern cuisine reflect “Dolly’s commitment to quality and taste.” From country fried steaks to chicken and dumplings, the collection has a comfortable meal on every palate.
“I have always believed in the power of a warm and heartfelt diet, and now with these offerings I am bringing you a little taste of my own Southern favorite,” Parton said in a statement. “Whether you’re busy or craving a comfortable comfort, I hope these dishes warm your heart as much as your belly.”
Dolly Parton’s “comfortable” meals and desserts are now available
Parton’s line of frozen “Comfort” meals, offering a retail price of $4.49, is available for purchase from grocery chains nationwide. The dish can be prepared in the microwave or oven.
“Fever and Dietary Cooking” includes:
- Dollyparton’s Beef Pot Roast: A rich, flavorful South-style gravy with carrots, celery, onions and roasted red potatoes, and a soft USDA-choice beef.
- Dolly Parton’s Chicken & Dumpkin: White meat chicken with thick cuts of carrots and celery, paired with fluffy dumplings in creamy pepper and thyme sauce.
- Dolly Parton’s Country Fried Steak: A tenderly fried beef pate topped with black pepper and chive country gravy is served with thick mashed potatoes, smoky bacon and seasoned green beans.
- Dolly Parton’s Shrimp and Grits: Creamy white cheddar grits with juicy shrimp, cherry tomatoes and bold, spicy South-style sauce.
