Jim Harbaugh is the clear driving force behind the Chargers’ 3-0 start
Chris Bumbaca and Tyler Dragon of USA Today Sports discuss the impact Jim Harbaugh had on Los Angeles Chargers.

- The Detroit Lions defeated the Baltimore Ravens 38-30 in a tough contested game on Monday night.
- Detroit’s pass rush was a major factor, looting Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson seven times.
- Both crimes were effective as Detroit controls the clock and Baltimore utilizes Quick Strike Play.
Baltimore – If Charm City’s Monday Night Week 3 Capstone was a Super Bowl 60 preview, yes, yes please.
The Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions performed a dramatic, high-tempo show, ending with a 38-30 victory by the Lions, which was more contested than the final score suggests. This victory will help Detroit and its new-looking coaching staff recertify them as championship contenders. Meanwhile, the super-talented Raven must overcome his 1-2 start of his second consecutive season.

Whether it was ball control (typically Detroit) or quick striking (typically Baltimore), neither club had much trouble moving the ball. The Lions held their possessions for nearly 20 minutes in the first half, before two TD drives had a meal for over 16 minutes. Meanwhile, Baltimore enjoyed a 28-yard run with Derrick Henry on his first touchdown, but another drive took four plays and 32 seconds before Jackson found Rushed Bateman on a 3-yard pass into the end zone. That’s not to say that the Lions didn’t have an explosive sequence (RB David Montgomery’s 72-yard run, the longest in the league this season, in the third quarter), the Ravens were unable to grind their first ownership after 73 yards, 73 yards, and over six minutes passed mid-salary. It is said that 68 total points and 744 aggregate yards are talking to the track.
Lions pass rush
Don’t assume that Detroit’s defense has mailed it. The Lions bagged Jackson seven times – including a fourth goal from the 2-yard line in the second quarter – matching what the two league MVPs endured most in his eighth year care. And most coordinators consider holding him 35 yards on the ground, just as Jackson threw the ball (27-27, 288 yards, 3 TD).
Mark Andrews
He entered Monday with two catches in the season. And since Baltimore’s infamous performance in Baltimore’s playoff loss in Buffalo in January. However, Andrews appeared and caught six balls for 91 yards and advanced Baltimore early in the third quarter on a 14-yard strike from Jackson.
Metallica
The heavy metal legend – Checkout – who just got his own channel on SiriusXM last month was also featured on the Ravens’ pre-game introduction “for bell tolls” and “for bell fees” that led Jackson and the offensive starter. “Enter Sandman” rang throughout the building in the fourth quarter after Baltimore reduced Detroit’s lead to 28-24.
Jake Bates
Following Detroit’s second touchdown, the Lions kicker made a TD-saving tackle on the subsequent kickoff. After a 43-yard runback, he defeated Racine Ali on the return of the Ravens to the open field.

he just We conclude the first half, which was overlooked with a 67-yard field goal. Ironically, former Ravens star Justin Tucker delved into the 66-yard benchmark four years ago.
Derrick Henry
In the second time in three games, Baltimore’s giant Bellcaw characteristically lost the fumble that led to his opponent’s fourth quarter points. It was a fatal blow from week one to Buffalo, and was the momentum killer when the Ravens had the chance to drive the lead on Monday. In Henry’s 10-year career, he did not lose multiple fourth quarter fumbles in the same season.
M&T Bank Stadium Operation
The Ravens don’t get enough credibility in their distinctive pre-game and halftime productions. Unfortunately, the scoreboard did not function properly for more than a quarter on Monday. There is no downs and distance or score information available to over 70,000 fans who rely on stadium boards up to the middle of the game.

The absence of injured Pro Bowl LB Kyle van Noy (hamstring) and DL Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) made me arrogant ham. Without the two best players, Baltimore not only failed to contain Detroit’s run game (224 yards, 4 TDS), but its improved secondary was further exposed by the passing of Lions QB Jared Goff’s accuracy. Two of Detroit’s TD marches covered at least 96 yards, but Raven simply couldn’t stop the bleeding.
Buffalo Bills
The undefeated AFC East Leader enjoys what is effectively the 2.game lead of the Baltimore team that may meet again this season…but perhaps, he’s back in West New York.
Baltimore lucky charm
The Ravens fell 20-7 in an all-black uniform, with Jackson at 24-3 against NFC opponents.
