  • USA Today sports experts have predicted some potential disruptions in the fourth week of the college football season.
  • No. 6 Miami is expected to face a tough challenge from the Florida underdog team.
  • Nebraska was able to continue his revival by upsetting Michigan at home.

This will be something like Hoham’s weekend in college football. Some of the top candidates are ahead of the major showdown in week 5. There are several matchups from ranked teams. These results could have an impact on college football playoff races.

Other games can be a surprise when conference play is swinging full. The friendlyness and self-satisfaction of the favorite side can play a major role in those confusion. But where will they happen on Saturday?

That’s why the USA Today Sports College Football Staff is here. Matt Hayes, Jordan Mendoza, Paul Meyerberg, Eric Smith, Eddie Timanus and Blake Topmeyer weigh in on their daring predictions for the fourth week.

Miami will be tested four-quarters from Florida

For Florida, it’s been a season to forget so far. The Gators lost to South Florida and LSU despite their defenses looking sturdy. Much of the responsibility lies in the struggle of quarterback DJ Lagway. Florida is now heading to No. 6 Miami, with the Hurricane surgening to the top of the college football playoff contenders list. This is closer than expecting Miami to need a last-minute driver to take down the Gator. – Matt Hayes

Tulane remains undefeated with the SEC victory

It feels like people aren’t paying attention to Tulane. It has a solid resume with two compelling victories over the four power teams of Northwestern and Duke. Greenwave heads to Mississippi and plays a rebel team that still doesn’t look like SEC candidates. Jake Letzraff jumps into college football playoff consideration as he continues to play great in the air and the ground to stun Mississippi and move to 4-0. – Jordan Mendoza

Nebraska defeats Michigan if regeneration continues

Nebraska slows Michigan’s run game enough, and Dylan Raiola has another strong game to bring about a big victory over the Wolverines. By holding back the ground game, the Cornhuskers can put pressure on Blythe Underwood. Blythe Underwood wasn’t good in his previous Power 4 matchup with Oklahoma. – Paul Meyerberg

Michigan and Southern California will be four-quarters

It’s not getting much attention this week – perhaps due to the ET start time at 11pm – but the Big Ten matchups in Michigan and Southern California could be one of the best games of the day. Both teams are 3-0 using completely different styles. The Spartans have one of the best driving defenses in the country, but the Trojans lead the country with complete crime. It’s a testament that should remain close to the whole, and there’s a chance that Michigan will have the good fortune to be able to get upset. – Eric Smith

Duke continues to succeed against North Carolina

Duke held its Triangle rival NC State on Saturday, looking to beat Wolfpack for the third year in a row. There is no good reason to predict that the Blue Devils will do that, but they will. Moving the ball wasn’t a Duke problem during a two-game skid. Putting it on the ground was what it was, so if the Blue Devils could stop it, they should be able to hang along with the Wolfpack. NC states did enough on their first three outings, but they weren’t dominant. Wolfpack’s fortune in tight games runs out in Durham. – Eddie Timanus

LSU’s attacks finally bring it to life

Despite having three wins to start the season, it was a tough start for the Tigers. The offense is 107th in scoring with 20.0 points per game. Find a changing story. Brian Kelly demands that reporters only ask questions about LSU’s attack after the Tigers get out of their scoring rut against southeast Louisiana. – Blake Topmeyer
