ClinCheck Live brings AI planning to Invisalign dental treatment

Date:

Align Technology, a medical device company that designs, manufactures, and markets the Invisalign system of clear aligners, exocad CAD/CAM software, and iTero intraoral scanners, announced ClinCheck Live Plan, a new feature of Invisalign digital dental treatment planning.

ClinCheck Live Plan is designed to automate the creation of an initial Invisalign treatment plan that doctors can instantly review and approve, reducing treatment planning cycles from days to just 15 minutes. The goal is to help patients get the treatment they need faster.

The latest plan follows a suite of new treatment planning tools and automation features introduced by Align in recent years, including cloud-based ClinCheck Pro 6.0 software, automated Invisalign Personalized Plan templates, and a one-page Flex Rx prescription form for simplified workflow. Each new feature is designed to improve consistency, dentist control, and speed.

Built on Align data and algorithms, ClinCheck Live Plan has been in development for decades with insights from dentists and orthodontists who have treated more than 21 million Invisalign patients worldwide.

Dentists can now create and adjust treatment plans, and once eligible cases are submitted using the Flex Rx system, they can receive a personalized ClinCheck treatment plan in about 15 minutes.

Invisalign professionals will review your teeth and their adjustment plan, helping us improve our services during your visit. When an Invisalign clinician submits a new case with an iTero intraoral scan and a completed Flex Rx prescription, the ClinCheck Live Plan system creates a 3D plan. Ultimately, faster processes should help clinics run more efficiently and improve the patient experience.

Invisalign-trained professionals who currently use the ClinCheck configuration template and Flex Rx form will have access to the ClinCheck Live Plan when it becomes available in their area. The global rollout of this plan is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
