Chipotle, Zipline offers new delivery options

Chipotle has a new meal agreement that allows you and your family and friends to make your own burrito.
The restaurant chain has a new “Build of Chipotle” offering that serves 4-6 people and allows you to make your own burrito or bowl.
Starting Tuesday, August 26th, it comes with a selection of proteins, rice, beans, side dishes and toppings (sour cream and salsa, lettuce and cheese, flour tortillas and chips) that can be ordered via the Chipotle website and the Chipotle app “Build of Chipotle”. Shareable family style offering ingredients can be ordered and picked up in 15 minutes. “For the first time, guests can use our digital ordering channel… With just a few taps, they can bring personalized Chipotle McEllin into the kitchen.” “This is an innovation that brings people together around the food they love.”
The national average price for a “Build of Chipotle” meal ranges from $59 for chicken or sofritas (plant-based protein) to $70 for braised beef barbacoa. Offerings can be delivered at an additional cost.
What does the new “Chipotle Build” meal include?
Each meal order includes:
- One protein: Choose from chicken ($59), steak ($70), steamed beef barbacoa ($70), carnitas ($65) or sofritas ($59).
- 1 meal: Choose white or brown rice
- One bean: Choosing black or pinto beans
- One Premium Side: Choosing a Guac or Queso Blanco
- topping: Three funny things from sour cream, tomatilo red chili salsa, tomatilo green chili salsa, roast chili corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa
- Shredded romaine lettuce and cheese
- Two big bags of chips
- 8 soft takosturtiya
- tool: Forks, napkins and bowls for 6 people
Customers can also order two large tips and three large sides as separate menu items.
