Chick-fil-A’s retro-style cups (and chances to win) go viral
To celebrate its 80th anniversary in business, Chick-fil-A has launched four retro-style cups, including a “Golden Fun Cup” that can be redeemed for free food.
Chick-fil-A unveils its final collector cup design – a retro cup featuring the iconic cow – as the Gold Fun Cup contest continues.
Early last month, the fast food chain began offering $3.99 Classic Cups for a limited time, featuring one of four retro designs. The last cup, the Cow Billboard Cup, featuring the Chick-fil-A cow, first appeared on the “Eat Mor Chikin” sign in 1995, will be held on Monday, February 23rd.
Every time you purchase a Classic Cup, you have a chance to win a special Gold Fun Cup. It comes with 52 free entrée prizes, one for each week of the year. The contest will run until July 1st. Each cup is sold wrapped, so customers won’t know which cup they bought or if they won until they remove the packaging.
Cups are available while supplies last. Some restaurants may have all four designs in stock (check with your local restaurant for availability).
The Classic Cup and Golden Fun Cup promotions are in celebration of Chick-fil-A’s 80th anniversary. The College Park, Ga.-based fast food chicken chain is also commemorating the milestone with a new drink and a special stuffed cow.
Here’s how the Gold Fun Cup sweepstakes works:
How to get a free year of Chick-fil-A
To get a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A food, you must purchase a Classic Cup. Each classic cup comes wrapped to hide the design.
3,000 Golden Fun Cups will be randomly distributed to collectible cups across the country. If you are a lucky Gold Fun Cup winner, you can claim your prize by scanning the QR code on the cup.
What will the winner of Chick-fil-A’s Gold Cup contest get?
Winners will receive up to 52 entrees, one for each week of the year. Entrees available at participating restaurants include the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Chick-fil-A Nuggets.
