Chick-fil-A’s retro-style cups (and chances to win) go viral
To celebrate its 80th anniversary in business, Chick-fil-A has launched four retro-style cups, including a “Golden Fun Cup” that can be redeemed for free food.
What better way to show someone you love them than with chicken?
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Chick-fil-A has announced that its famous heart-shaped tray will be back this year with options ranging from nuggets to brownies and even breakfast options to help spread the love any time of the day.
“Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a gift from the heart. Give your friends and family a tray of love this Valentine’s Day,” Chick-fil-A said on its website.
Starting Monday, Jan. 26 through Valentine’s Day, customers at participating restaurants will be able to purchase trays in-store and through the Chick-fil-A app.
The tray launch comes as the famous chicken chain celebrates its 80th anniversary. On January 26, Chick-fil-A also released its newest collectible cup design, the 1967 Classic Cup, as part of its “Newstalgia” celebration.

What heart-shaped trays are on sale?
Chick-fil-A says breakfast, entree and dessert options will be available on heart-shaped trays this year.
- Chick-fil-A nuggets 30 pieces
- 10 Chikkun minis (only at breakfast time)
- Chick-fil-A Chick and Strips 10 pieces
- 12 chocolate fudge brownie halves
- 6 chocolate chunk cookies
Anniversary celebration with tray
Earlier this month, Chick-fil-A kicked off a year-long “Newstalgia” celebration as part of its 80th anniversary. The celebration will feature new beverages, a signature stuffed cow, and a special sweepstakes that will give fans a chance to win free food for a year.
As part of the celebration, we’re rolling out a limited-time $3.99 Classic Cup featuring one of four retro cup designs, with the latest design releasing on January 26th.
3,000 Gold Fun Cups will be randomly distributed to cups across the country and come with prizes. Lucky winners will receive 52 entrees (choose from Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich or Chick-fil-A Nuggets at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants; contest runs through July 1). Winners scan the QR code to claim their prize.
