In her September 12 speech, Erica Kirk vowed to continue her husband’s moves, saying, “This widow’s cry echoes all over the world like a cry of battle.”
It was Erica Kirk’s first public appearance since her husband was killed while talking to a student at Utah Valley University a few days ago.
“The evil ones for the assassination of my husband don’t know what they did,” she said in a live stream on Turning Point USA’s YouTube page.
Kirk’s speech came in the aftermath of authorities who announced they had captured alleged gunmen in Kirk’s murder. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox told reporters in the morning that Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody after 22-year-old Tyler Robinson contacted a family friend.
The mother of two spoke from her husband’s studio, where she delivered the Charlie Kirk Show. The desk was fitted with a white hat with the gold number “47” which was a reference to President Donald Trump. The conservative talk show host was a strong supporter of the 47th president.
Kirk promises that her husband is not dead in vain, and instead says that his message will only be stronger.
“They killed Charlie because they preached the message of patriotism, faith and God’s love,” she said. “They should all know this. If I thought my husband’s mission was previously strong, you don’t know. You don’t know what you’ve unleashed in this country and in this world.”
She added: “I don’t know what fire that caught in my wife.”
She said her husband’s campus tours will follow, more tours will come, and his radio and podcast shows will follow.
How long were they married?
According to the Republic of Arizona, Kirk married her husband in May 2021, part of the USA Today Network, and according to a social media post by Erika, Kirk married her husband.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she works as a real estate agent at Corcoran Group in New York City and is also the founder of everyday heroes like you, a nonprofit dedicated to community empowerment.
Kirk is also a former beauty queen and crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012.
How old are their children?
According to a social media post, the couple shared two children, a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.
The talk show host has not revealed the name of his child, and has mostly been keeping his face away from social media.
“We have girls and boys. What’s your name or what your face is, it’s not anyone’s business,” the influencer told his show in June 2025.
