Overreactions in NFL Week 3
Lorenzo Reyes from USA Today has categorized the biggest NFL stories from week 3.
Seriously sports
The NFL season is in full swing, with the next edition of “Thursday Night Football” taking place with a massive divisional showdown to begin week four.
The Seattle Seahawks (2-1) travel to the desert to fight the Arizona Cardinals (2-1).
Throughout the three weeks, NFC West is a league class, with all four teams boasting victory records. It’s a bit early to discuss the “must-see” game, but the San Francisco 49ers (3-0) led the division, and the Los Angeles Rams (2-1) also got off to a good start.
The Seahawks’ lonely loss came to the hands of the 49ers in week one, but they bouncing off in impressive victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints. Seattle attacks at the front of free agent signer Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jackson Smith Nuzigba. However, their running game is inefficient, averaging the fourth yard per carry.
The Cardinals’ defeat opposed the 49ers last Sunday. Arizona was hit hard in the game when James Connor suffered a leg injury that ended his season.
With the help of tight end Trey McBride and second-year wideout Marvin Harrison Jr., quarterback Kyler Murray sets his foot in the best role from the backfield while trying to produce in the air. Benson is also wearing big shoes, who is also his second year, as Connor surpasses 1,000 rushing yards in each of the last two seasons. He fills his hands against the Seahawks’ front seven, who allowed just 3.2 yards per rush, the third-best in the NFL.
Arizona’s defense was also the ability to allow 17 points per game this season. This is the fifth in the NFL. They hope to deplete Seattle’s attacks in the desert tonight.
USA Today Sports will be offering live updates, highlights and more from the Cardinals and Seahawks’ fourth week matchup below.

Founded in 1976, the Seahawks celebrated the 50th anniversary of this season, wearing a patch under their left shoulder to commemorate the achievements.
It was a relatively calm second quarter, but the Cardinals finally had something to work on their latest drive. That was until Harrison bobed the ball in the traffic and fell into the hands of Ernest Jones IV. It goes down as an intercept of Murray’s second game, but this wasn’t close to his fault.
The halftime break corrected nothing because of the cardinals that seemed brutal to the attack. Another punt from Blake Gillikin. Seattle will take over territory deeply in the third quarter with 6:26 remaining.
The Seahawks open the second half with Myers’ field goal and extend their lead to 14. This is a much-needed stop for Arizona, where the game needs to attack out of reach.
Seahawks 17, Cardinals 3
The Cardinals’ offense had an ugly show in the first half. Murray and the attack were selented with boos from the crowds of the house as half approached the end. Murray had a total of two intercepts and could have posted some more to what was a irresistible effort at this point. Seattle gets the ball to start the third quarter and tries to blow it away.
When the Seahawks attack, they attack immediately. Darnold engineers a 6-play, 90-yard touchdown drive that finishes with a 1-yard rush score for Charbonnet. Murray and the Cardinals get the ball back in one minute to play in the half with two timeouts.

Lawrence, one of the Seahawks’ free agent signatures in 2025, suspects he’ll be back with a thigh injury. The former cowboy has not registered the bag in the first three weeks since signing a $42 million contract with the team in March.
The three players in the 2025 NFL Player Pool are over 40 years old. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jets Kicker Nick Fork and Browns quarterback Joe Flaco.
Rodgers turns 42 during the season and his birthday comes in the first week of December.
Here is the complete list of the oldest players in soccer:

Time flies when you’re having fun, and like that, the first quarter is nearing its end. The Cardinals are unable to answer the Seahawks’ touchdown drive and punt to open the second quarter as Seattle is about to take the lead.
Well, the Seahawks answered immediately. After seven plays and 77 yards, Darnold gives a 16-yard touchdown pass to tight end Burner, bringing the visitors forward. Seattle hasn’t faced much resistance on that drive and now has a four-point lead to show that.
Seahawks 7, Cardinals 3
The funky drive ends at Arizona’s point. Ryland knocked it out of 32, giving the home team an early lead. The first sign is heading towards a classic NFC West showdown between these teams.
Cardinals 3, Seahawks 0
Murray was intercepted by Coby Bryant with a wise throw. Luckily for him, Bryant groped for the ball and Arizona recovered. But Bryant’s fumble was caused by his teammates after he appeared to be down. You probably need to flip the coins over with these close plays.
Michaels, who is once again a proven voice for Amazon Prime’s “Thursday Night Football,” is 80 years old. He turned 81 in November and has been working on network sports television since 1971.
Faced with a fourth short in the midfield, the Seahawks chose to choose it to keep the drive alive. Sam Darnold took a snap of the shotgun and Zack Charbonnet was quickly packed in. Arizona turned over in the opening quarter with nine minutes left.
The Cardinals may look good in “rival” jerseys, but can their play fit that? As you’ll see, the opening drive ends with a Murray and Co punt.

Cardinals vs. Seahawks predictions
Thursday night matchups tend to be difficult for teams to prepare, and often bring unattractive performances. This is a split collision between the Cardinals and the Seahawks, so it could ultimately result in an inactive collision. Both teams rank in the top five in scoring defense and are great at stopping opponents in the red zone. Both sidelines feature defensive head coaches Mike McDonald (Seahawks) and Jonathan Gannon (Cardinals).
Seattle has allowed the second most points per game, earning reinforcements in the form of Julian Love and Devon Witherspoons in the secondary tonight. The Seahawks defeat the Cardinals on the road with a low-scoring event.
prediction: Seahawks 20, Cardinals 17
The Cardinals quarterback arrived at the stadium along with guard Will Hernandez.
