Brooklyn Beckham may be putting distance between himself and his family.

Former model brother Cruz Beckham took to Instagram to reveal a Daily Mail report that claimed his brother had been blocked by his parents Victoria and David Beckham. The tabloid’s headline read: “David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have unfollowed their estranged son Brooklyn, 26, after it was revealed he will be spending Christmas with his wife Nicole Peltz’s billionaire parents amid family rift.”

Cruz Beckham, 20, responded to the report in an expired Instagram Story on Saturday, December 20th, updating the Daily Mail article. “Not true. My mom and dad will never unfollow their son. Let’s get our facts straight,” Cruise Beckham wrote. “They woke up and were blocked…and so was I.”

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for David, Victoria and Brooklyn Beckham for comment.

Back in September, 26-year-old Brooklyn Beckham appeared to weigh in on continued media speculation about a family feud in an interview with the Daily Mail, but declined to comment directly.

“There’s always going to be people who say negative things, but I have a very supportive wife,” Beckham, 26, said of his wife Nicola Peltz. “Me and her, we’re just doing what we do. We’re just putting our heads down and working. And we’re happy.”

Since Beckham and Peltz tied the knot in April 2022, rumors have swirled about the status of their relationship with the Beckham family, from scrutiny of the couple’s absence from family events to allegations of tension with Beckham’s younger brother Romeo.

In August, three years after their wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, Beckham and Peltz revealed they renewed their wedding vows in an emotional ceremony. Days after David, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51, caused an uproar after they weren’t pictured in their vow renewal ceremony and wedding party, Victoria Beckham has shared photos from their European vacation, showing David, Victoria and Brooklyn’s siblings Cruise, Harper and Romeo enjoying time together. USA TODAY reached out to the Beckhams for comment at the time.

Brooklyn Beckham also attracted attention for being the only one of Beckham’s children to be absent from David Beckham’s knighthood ceremony in November.
