Former NFL MVP Brett Fabre reveals a parliamentary diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease
In testimony about the misuse of welfare funds to Congress, former NFL quarterback Brett Fabre revealed he has Parkinson’s disease.
Netflix is back with another foray into the sports documentary series. The latest focuses on Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Fabre.
Not spoken: Fall of fall It premiered on a streaming service on Tuesday and served its purpose. It’s full of information and is filled with good storytelling from the talking heads that appeared in the film. It’s mostly from Sportswriters who covered him in his 20 NFL seasons.
The very definition of the word “unspeakable” is inappropriate here. Casual sports fans who live and die in every game and cheer on athletes have certainly heard of some of Fabre’s careers on and off the field.
In other words, there are not many new things or scattering of the Earth here. It was not a shock that Favre was not taking part in the documentary, so we don’t see anything similar to Favre’s well-documented misdeeds.
One more interesting part of the latest “Untold” from Netflix is that the documentary is only an hour long.
In an effort to tell a balanced story, Favre’s career was the focus of the film’s first 12 minutes, after which Jenn Sterger appears to tell her story of Favre sending unsolicited photos of her in his private parts when he was employed by the New York Jets.
“Brett Fabre ultimately destroyed my life,” said Starger, the host of Jets Game Day in the stadium. “When someone shows you who they are, trust them.”
To this day, according to Sterger, she has yet to meet Favre, who the NFL has fined $50,000 for not cooperating with the investigation.
So who is Brett Fabre? If you’re watching this movie looking for the answer to that question, you can’t find it here.
Fabre’s apologies will definitely see the film as a glorious hit, and in fact the final part of the film isn’t very good if you’re looking for something great to be said about him. Sterger has been featured widely in documentaries, and her story can really stand the use of its own episodes to tie the rest of the Favre story together.
And of course, it touches on the scandal over the Mississippi Welfare Fund. There, Fabre attempted to build a new arena in southern Mississippi. There, my daughter was a member of the volleyball team.
The film also shows executive producer AJ Perez listening to audio recordings after being threatened by Favre representatives for reporting on the Mississippi Welfare Scandal, which could be the most interesting part of the film as a whole. (Perez was previously employed as a reporter for USA Today.)

Fabre used the court to try and clear his name, suing media personalities Shannon Sharp and Pat McAfee for honor and damage, with two journalists including Mississippi state auditors and two journalists, today’s Mississippi reporter Anna Wolf, who won the Pulitzer Prize for her report.
Sharp said Favre must be a pity “to steal from the lowest low,” while McAfee said three NFL MVPs “store from the poor people in Mississippi.” The federal court abandoned the lawsuit against Sharp last September, and Fabre filed a lawsuit against McAfee in 2023.
The documentary goes through its pace and does its job to attract the attention of the viewer, but if you are looking for mind-changing, thought-provoking content, this is not the case.
