Beyond Meat is expanding its line of sparkling protein drinks this spring. Yes, the brand behind plant-based burgers, steaks, and chicken has entered the beverage market.
Beyond Meat announced the launch of Beyond Immerse, a sparkling protein drink, in January. The drink is sold in 12-ounce cans and features a combination of plant-based protein, fiber, antioxidants and electrolytes, according to a Beyond Meat news release. Initially, the drink was available in peach mango, lemon lime, and orange tangerine. On February 26, Beyond Meat announced the expansion of new flavors: Cherry Berry, Strawberry Lemonade, Pina Colada, and Cucumber Grapefruit.
Beyond Meat is made with hydrolyzed pea protein and is a plant-based, vegan, gluten-free and soy-free protein derived from yellow peas, according to a Beyond Meat news release.
