Bed Bath & Bead Bead Sets Reopen and Accept Old Coupons
Bed Bath & Beyond is making a comeback with their first Bed Bath and the grand opening of the Beyond Home Store after filing for bankruptcy in 2023.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has announced that it has completed a transaction that accelerates the creation of new locations.
In a news release on September 15, the company said it has completed $10 million purchases of its Kirkland home name and other brand assets from Brand House Collective.
“This move will accelerate the company’s national store conversion strategy and convert its Kirkland home locations into bed baths and Beyond stores,” Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. said in a statement, and the company will expand its Kirkland homes to wholesale markets, reviving brand seasonal home decor and independent retailers, and expanding its new registrations.
The company did not specify which Kirkland home locations would be converted to bed baths and beyond stores. Requests for these locations from USA Today did not receive an immediate response.
“The excitement around the Bed Bath & Bead brand was undeniable in the first of many store conversions,” said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. in the release.
According to the release, Kirkland homes will also expand to the wholesale market.
Bed Bath & Beyond Comeback to California
Bed Bath & Beyond is about to make a comeback after filing for bankruptcy in 2023 and closing all of its stores. It reopened on August 8th, past its first bed bath and home near Nashville.
Lemonis said in August that the company would not open a brick and mortar store in California. Lemonis said the state, which has more than 39 million people, will only be provided through delivery.
“Like most Americans, after all the stores went bankrupt and closure, we thought that beds, barths and beyond were no longer present,” a press conference for California Gov. Gavin Newsom said in response to X’s announcement.
Lemonis responded to a post from Newsom’s Personal X account and proposed business reforms in California.
“We target opening 300 small to medium-sized neighborhood stores from Kirkland investments (sic),” writes Lemonsis. “You’re a smart guy and I know that the following posts are out of frustration.”
