Seeing water poured into Reno, Nevada casinos, and Soak slot machines
During a severe thunderstorm, water was poured into casinos in Reno, Nevada, erupting from ceilings and soaked slot machines.
Dog Bar Chain Bar K said on Tuesday, July 29th it will close all three locations: St. Louis, Kansas City and Oklahoma City.
Bar K said in a news release that it will close three locations in three different cities due to “various challenges” ranging from inflation costs to other specific issues at each location.
The closure is permanent and will be effective immediately, the company added.
“We know that Bar K has become a beloved, essential destination for you and your puppy, and we want to understand why many of you are upset, disappointed by this decision and understand why,” the company said. “On behalf of everyone at Bar K, we would like to thank you, a dog-loving community, for your support over the years and trusting you in creating this unique new experience for you and your puppy.”
Where is Bar K closed?
The three locations for the closure are as follows:
- 501 Berkley Pkwy. , Kansas City, Missouri
- 4565 McRee Ave., St. Louis, MO.
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 91 SE 5th St.
In the same release, the company said its Kansas City location was closed as it became “very isolated” by construction projects in the area that occupying the parking lot.
According to local news outlets KSDK and FOX 2, the St. Louis location at Bar K faced challenges before its closure. This faces a lawsuit filed in 2024, claiming that the location has nearly $300,000 in rent on St. Louis-based developer and landowner Green Street.
“As often it is, there is no single cause, but rather, there are various challenges that our startups have ultimately proven to be too difficult to overcome,” the company said.
