At least one person was killed Sunday when a gas cylinder exploded at an iconic Moscow toy store, reported by the provincial press.
The explosion occurred in a central children’s store known to most Russians as the “Detoski Meal” toy shop. It is located in Lubyanka Square, near the headquarters of the Federal Security Bureau (FSB), the main successor to the KGB during the Soviet era.
“Unfortunately, preliminary information shows that deaths have resulted in the incident and some people have been injured,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobianin.
According to the Russian press, there are also many restaurants, shops and cinemas.
The Mash Telegram Channel said the helium canister exploded.
