Date:

One in five pet owners carry at least $2,000 pet debt, according to a June survey of 1,000 American pet owners commissioned by MetLife Pet Insurance. One in seven people experience “pet poverty” and struggle to meet their basic needs while caring for their pets.

And wait until you see the tab for lifelong pet care.

Now: Return to shutdown. The federal government was closed on the second day, with Democrats and Republicans supporting healthcare funds.

Shutdowns can delay the release of critical government data. That’s why it’s important.

Speaking of healthcare, long-term shutdowns can ultimately cause problems for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
