Trump administration to establish a unique position on emergency medical care

The Trump administration has revoked the Biden administration’s policies that inform hospitals and doctors that emergency abortions can be provided to stabilize pregnant people.

background: In 2022, the Biden administration issued a letter informing us that the Emergency Care and Proactive Labor Act (EMTALA) protects “protecting your clinical judgment and the actions you take to provide stabilized care to pregnant patients.”

  • What is “emergency medicine”?“? This could mean abortion, removal of the fallopian tubes, or treating hypertension.
  • Currently, this 2022 letter has been revoked. The Trump administration said Biden’s guidance and communications regarding emergency abortion “doesn’t reflect this administration’s policies.”
  • What does this mean for your pregnancy? The Trump administration will take its own stance to “fix the perceived legal disruption and instability created by previous administration actions,” although it will continue to enforce Emtala.

Boulder’s daughter dreamed of studying medicine. Now she is facing deportation.

Habiba Soliman moved to the United States with the dream of studying medicine to change his life. Although Soliman recently graduated from high school, her desires were disrupted when her 45-year-old father was charged with federal hate crimes and 16 attempted murders when her 45-year-old father left dozens of people, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, in the attacks of Boulder, Colorado. The two remain hospitalized. Now, Boulder’s daughter, Soliman, is the suspect of Mohamed Sabri Soliman, facing deportation along with other families.

Elon Musk slams President Trump’s big tax and policy bill

“I’m sorry, but I can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a nasty hatred. I’m embarrassed by those who voted for it. I know you were wrong.

~Tesla CEO Elon Musk escalated his criticism of the president’s signature law and concerns that it would increase the deficit after leaving his role in the White House in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday.

The escaped New Orleans prisoner apparently posted on Instagram

On May 16, a group of 10 inmates fled the Orleans Parish Prison through a hole behind the toilet, officials said. Since then, law enforcement has captured eight men, leaving only Antoine Massey, 32, and 27-year-old Derrick Groves. Authorities looking for two prisoners may have just taken their biggest break. This is a video posted on social media by one of the fugitives. A video posted to Instagram on June 1st shows a man identifying himself as Massey. He declared his innocence, sought help from notable names, including President Trump and rapper Meek Mill, and said he ran away to avoid being charged with crimes he didn’t commit.

What should I do with the Coinja penny?

The US Treasury Department is ordered to stop building penny because production costs exceed its value. Many Americans consider pennies (and nickel) to be more annoying than currency. According to the Federal Reserve, typical households sit with $60 to $90 in neglected coins. Americans throw away millions of dollars of coins each year and treat them like garbage. Most of us don’t understand how much our coins are worth. So a trip to a coin exchange kiosk (or a bank, or a credit union) can bring a pleasant surprise.
