See more photos of Epstein from the Democratic Party. Foreign passports and “Lolita” quotes

Date:

House Democrats called for the release of all Justice Department documents related to the Epstein investigation, a day before a Congress-mandated filing deadline.

WASHINGTON – House Democrats have released 68 new photos from the estate of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The latest one showed a foreign passport with personal information blacked out and a phrase from the book “Lolita” written on a part of a woman’s body.

One of the passports belonged to someone from Ukraine. Screenshots of the text messages include details about the 18-year-old Russian woman, including her height and weight, and include the phrases “But she asks $1,000 for each girl” and “I’ll send the girls now.”

A photo depicting phrases from Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita, about a man’s obsession with a 12-year-old girl, shows phrases from the book on the woman’s cleavage and legs.

“She stood 4 feet 10 centimeters tall in the morning with her socks on and was a low, regular low,” reads one sentence, read with one foot against a book in the background.

House Democrats release 68 new photos of Epstein from estate

A day before the deadline to release most of Epstein’s files, Congressional Democrats released 68 new photos from Epstein’s estate.

The Democrat’s release came a day before the Justice Department is scheduled to release further documents in its criminal investigation into Epstein. He died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Tens of thousands of pages of records, including photos, depositions and email correspondence from Mr. Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean, have already been made public through civil lawsuits and Congress.

But Epstein’s victims and lawmakers are pushing for the release of all of Epstein’s files in order to find potential indictments among his rich and famous acquaintances. Congress passed a bill last month requiring the Justice Department to release more files, and President Donald Trump signed it.

Three federal judges have authorized the release of traditionally secret grand jury transcripts and other evidence. The cases concerned Epstein’s failure to be federally indicted in 2008, his indictment in 2019, and the investigation of his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. She was convicted of conspiring with him and is serving a 20-year sentence.

The law also required the department to release internal emails and memos related to decisions about whether to charge people in investigations. But Attorney General Pam Bondi could withhold names of victims, depictions of child sexual abuse, and documents that could harm criminal prosecution.

House Democrats are leaking 95,000 photos from Epstein’s estate in a bid to pressure the administration to release more files. Republicans accused Democrats of “picking and choosing” which documents to release rather than providing a comprehensive view of the investigation.

“We will continue to release photos and documents to provide transparency to the American people,” Democratic lawmakers said on social media. “It’s time for the Justice Department to release its files.”
