A new sweet treat from a familiar company will be hitting your freezer in 2026.

Ben & Jerry’s will launch an ice cream bar in the new year, expected to hit stores in January.

The launch features five flavors of ice cream dipped in a chocolate coating with cookie pieces embedded inside. The sweets won’t be in stores for a few weeks, but you might be able to try the bars at your local Ben & Jerry’s. More than 150 “scoop shops” will be handing out free bars next week.

If you can’t wait for a new ice cream bar, here’s how you can try the flavors for free.

What flavor is Ben & Jerry’s ice cream bar?

There are five flavors sold for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream bars.

  • cookie dough
  • chocolate fudge brownie
  • strawberry cheesecake
  • PB pretzel
  • caramel blondie

Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Strawberry Cheesecake flavors are familiar, but PB Pretzel and Caramel Blondie flavors are new.

The bars will be sold in multipacks of four 2.5-ounce bars between $5.99 and $7.49, as well as single $3.99 Cookie Dough ice cream bars that will be available in convenience stores in the spring.

How to try new ice cream bars for free

The company plans to celebrate the new product launch with multiple events and giveaways, including “Droppin’ Birds” on Saturday, December 13th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Venice Beach, California. The company says fans can expect to try new flavors and “music, games, and even a few surprises thrown in…because there’s no party like a Ben & Jerry’s party.”

Beyond the California event, more than 150 participating scoop shops nationwide will also be giving away free ice cream bars next week. Over 20,000 ice cream bars will be given away on Wednesday, December 17th. Fans can find participating stores and more information on the “Scoop Shops & Catering Near Me” page on benjerry.com.

There, enter your location and click on the green button that looks like a filter. When the drop-down list appears, select and search for the “Free Bar Drop Shop” filter.
