Trump says we will loosen the rules of push to win AI races
The Trump administration has released a new artificial intelligence blueprint aimed at loosening environmental rules and significantly expanding AI exports to maintain the US edge with critical technologies.
WASHINGTON – CEOs of some of the top US companies are gathering in the UK for a reception the UK government is taking to visit Donald Trump.
British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer will host Trump and top executives of Fortune 500 companies on September 18th in his official countryside settlement.
The CEO list ranges from technology leaders to money managers, including Tim Cook from Apple, Jensen Huang from Nvidia, Stephen Schwarzman from Blackstone, Satya Nadella from Microsoft, Citigroup’s Jane Fraser from BlackRock, Larry Fink from BlackRock, Openai’s Sam Altman, Thim Martin’s Railway Steel Tep from Saleforce Marc Benioff from Saleforce and Brian Moynihan from Bank of America.
More than 20 business leaders are expected to be present at the reception at Checker, according to British government officials who are well-versed in invitations. Palantir Technology CEO Alex Karp and Alphabet’s Ruth Porat are also some of the most notable participants.
Several of the technology leaders attended Trump Trump, hosting the White House earlier this month. Cook, Altman and Huang are repeat guests.
Trump is visiting the UK, where he officially rode a carriage on September 17th, kicked off with the audience along with Windsor Castle and King Charles and Queen Camilla. The King and Queen mess up the US President and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, at an evening banquet.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wills and special envoy Steve Witcoff are among the US officials travelling with Trump, a longtime real estate developer who leads many of Trump’s peace efforts.
During the visit, the US and the UK announced new partnerships focusing on joint development of AI, quantum and nuclear technologies. The Trump administration announced plans in July to increase AI exports to American allies.
