RGIII when you should watch Dillon Gabriel or Chedure Sanders
Mackenzie Salmon will chat with former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III about the Cleveland Browns quarterback room.
Sports Pulse
- The top five teams remained unchanged in week 3.
- One 2-0 team made 15 spots ahead and almost made it into the top 10.
- Patrick Mahomes is 0-2 for the first time in his career. How much is KC in our weekly power poll?
NFL Power Rankings (previous ranks in parentheses) that will take place in the third week of the 2025 season:
1. Philadelphia Eagles (1): They haven’t flashed the 2024 advantage yet, and QB Jalen Hurts has barely done his arm so far. But the real-life champions are 2-0, and it’s a difficult mark to maintain given that the next three opponents were the playoff teams, starting with the Rams team that nearly knocked out Philadelphia from the postseason last season.
2. Buffalo Bills (2): After stomping the Jets, they will start a three-game homestand against their opponents by combining a 1-5 record and will not see another 2024 playoff team (KC) until November. Certainly it feels like the fast track with AFC’s No. 1 seed.
3. Green Bay Packers (3): How well does De Micah Parsons fit this unit? With each PFF, he takes on the pace (very early) under pressure of 85, despite playing little more than half of the snaps on the puck.
4. Baltimore Ravens (4): They ran for 45 yards on Sunday, the lowest total in the game played by Lamar Jackson since becoming QB1 seven years ago. But somehow, their total points against Cleveland (41) almost coincided with the rushing output. However, there is no more coast run for the Ravens, who are about to face the winner of the 2024 division each for the next four weeks.
5. LosAngeles Rams (5): For all headlines this attack generates, the defense has abandoned one TD – just one TD – – no other clubs can match.
6. LosAngeles Chargers (7): They are set to be the third team as the league expanded to 32 teams in 2002 and opens the season with a 3-0 record that includes sweeps for all opposition in the three divisions.
7. Commander Washington (6): If the knees of QB Jayden Daniels are healed enough by Sunday, reducing contractions and losses in Rambo, reducing at least the loss of their healthy player – QB Jayden Daniels, there’s an extra rest when the Raiders come to the country’s capital in a short week.
8. Kansas City Chiefs (8): QB Patrick Mahomes is the only player who can run the ball effectively, so here’s the idea – get some carry on the 310 pound LT Josh Simmons.
9. TampaBay Buccaneers (10): Congratulations to LB Lavonte David, the first player in franchise history to launch 200 games. If only the growing cast of injured teammates is very durable.
10. Detroit Lions (14): Who is Ben? During a 52-point explosion against the previous OC on Sunday, the Lions averaged a team record of 8.8 yards per play under new coordinator John Morton.
11. IndianapolisColts (26): Daniel “Indiana” Jones? Take him and his teammates seriously. The quarterback and his undefeated team quickly became a surprise tale of a young season. This is likely to continue on future trips to Nashville.
12. San Francisco 49ers (13): This is the fourth time the crew of HC Kyle Shanahan has been held on the road with two wins. The Niners have gone to the NFC title game with at least three previous instances.
13. Arizona Cardinals (11): That’s good for cards where the 39-year-old Revenant DL Calais Campbell still knows how to close the game.
14. Seattle Seahawks (19): QB Samdarnold threw his 100th career TD pass in Sunday’s victory. (Congratulations.) At this rate, he will need to play forty more seasons to overtake Tom Brady.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers (9): The spotlight remains undoubtedly trained by QB Aaron Rodgers, but his historically reliable defense and the fact that his special team has already surrendered 63 points should have something to do with manager Mike Tomlin.
16. Denver Broncos (12): It’s probably not surprising that QB Bo Nix is targeting former Oregon teammate Troy Franklin.
17. Atlanta Falcons (20): this Did Defense generate six bags and four takeaways? In one game? Seriously? That could be a rather ominous sign for the rest of the NFC South.
18. Cincinnati Bengals (16): Barrow? Brothers? What do you think will happen to your feet when you are tainting your Air Jordan? Now your peers will face five 2024 playoff teams without you for the next five weeks, and that’s for the first and foremost.
19. Jacksonville Jaguars (18): The second week of the Grand Travis Hunter experiment included three catches and killer pass interference violations against the defense that maintained a winning drive in the Cincinnati game. They haven’t chosen a rookie, but other teams would obviously do that at the time.
20. Houston Texans (17): The next two matches against AFC South Foes are inadequate attack time that doesn’t generate 270 yards or 20 points in either of the first two games.
twenty one. Dallas Cowboys (23): How’s the Big D revival of RB Javonte Williams? Tied to a league lead with three rushing TDs, he matches his career with his next career.
twenty two. Minnesota Viking (15): For his apology to the injured JJ McCarthy, Wildstat-backed Carson Wentz could be the first quarterback to start six different teams in six seasons of stretching, dating back to 1966.
twenty three. LasVegas Raiders (24): Rookie RB Ashton Jeanty has almost gone anywhere after averaging 2.4 yards per 2.4 yards in two weeks.
twenty four. New England Patriot (25): Tied to a league lead with a 3½ bag, Olb Harold Landry III is quickly proven that he deserves his offseason investment.
twenty five. New York Giants (28): Next, let’s look at the pair date with the AFC West Team (Chief, Charger) – against the Saints in the fifth week, as a sweet spot for Rookie QB Jackson Darts to insert into the lineup.
26. ChicagoBears (22): Last year’s first round pick looks very good – an obvious reference to the emergency WR Roma Odunze.
27. New York Jets (21): Where do New Yorkers go when they need to escape from big cities? Florida. The next two games in NYJ will be in Tampa and Miami.
28. New Orleans Saints (31): Praise them for being so competitive despite their lack of experience under the center and headset.
29. Tennessee Titans (30): No. 1 Pick Cam Ward has already been fired 11 times, putting him at pace to suffer nearly 100 games, over 17 games. Someone will help this guy.
30. Carolina Panthers (29): Monday may have been worse than Sunday amid revelation that the beginnings of Austin Corbett and Robert Hunt have been heading towards IR at least for a long time.
31. Cleveland Browns (27): Dillon Gabriel softened Sunday’s defeat to Baltimore. It seems fair that Chedure Sanders should have a similar opportunity for Green Bay.
32. Miami Dolphins (32): Given that they surrendered 33 points each for the first two weeks and have not yet generated turnover, they give points for consistency.
