Polish PM denies Trump’s proposal that drone attacks are “mistakes”
Polish Prime Minister Donald Task has rejected the US president’s proposal that Russian drone invasions may have been a mistake.

WARSAW – Polish-aligned aircraft were deployed to protect Polish airspace on Saturday due to the threat of drone strikes in adjacent Ukraine, and the airport in the eastern Polish city of Lublin was closed, Polish authorities said.
The Polish Army’s operational order said three days after Poland fired Russian drones in the airspace with the assistance of military aircraft from NATO allies, the plane took part in an operation near the border with Ukraine “to ensure the safety of our airspace.”
“These actions are inherently preventative and aim to secure airspace and protect citizens, particularly in areas adjacent to the threatened area,” the order said in a statement.
The statement did not mention any violations of Polish airspace.
Poland said Russia was violated by Russian drones from Tuesday to Wednesday as Russia struck Ukraine, causing war since February 2022. Russia said it was not targeting Poland.
Polish Airways Navigation Authority said controlled zones around Lublin airport and the airport had been closed to flight operations on Saturday.
