WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said in the true social post that he is ready to issue “major” sanctions on Russia only if all NATO countries agree to do the same and stop buying Russian oil.
Trump’s post came after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska this summer to discuss peace talks about Russia’s war in Ukraine. Trump said on September 12th that he was “lacking” patience with President Putin.
Trump described the true social post on September 13 as a letter to “all NATO countries and the world,” saying “NATO’s commitment to victory is less than 100%.”
“The purchase of Russian oil was shocking!” he wrote. “It greatly weakens your negotiation position and negotiation power on Russia. Anyway, I’m ready to ‘go’ when you’re there. Just when do you say it? ”
He also said that if NATO countries score 50% to 100% tariffs on China, it would “much help” to end the war. He said these tariffs would be “completely” withdrawn after the war is over.
“China has strong control over Russia, and even a grip, and these strong tariffs will break that grip,” Trump said. “This is not a Trump war (if I was president, it would never have started!), it is a Biden-Zelensky war. I’m here to stop it and help save thousands of lives in Russia and Ukraine.”
Russia violated Polish airspace with a 19 drone on September 10, when a NATO fighter plane scrambled and shot it down. Poland called on NATO to convene for post-climbing consultations.
Trump, US ambassador to the United Nations, Dorothy Shea, said in a UN Security Council emergency on September 12, the United States will “protect every inch of NATO territory.”
