Senate confirms that it is checking controversial Trump Pik Kash Patel for FBI Director
The Senate confirmed that former Justice Department Prosecutor Kash Patel will serve as FBI director for a 10-year term.
FBI director Kash Patel illegally fired FBI executives on an order from the Trump administration, as part of a campaign to turn the country’s premiere lawsuit into the political sector of the White House in a federal lawsuit filed September 10.
Former acting FBI director Brian Driscoll Jr. and two other exiled FBI officials filed 68-page lawsuits against Patel and the FBI, Attorney General Pam Bondy and the Justice Department, and the Trump administration. Driscoll, Steven Jensen and Spencer Evans allege that they were targets of politically motivated retaliation and violated their constitutional and legal rights.
Taking over with the FBI, “Patel’s actions were in stark contrast to testimony sworn during a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he said the committee and “ensure that all FBI employees are protected against political retaliation.”
This is a broken story and will be updated.
