According to a new poll, twice as many Americans say they disapprove more strongly than those who strongly approve of President Donald Trump’s second term.

A survey from YouGov and Economists on August 15-18 found that two-thirds of respondents have strong feelings about Trump. Polls say 47% strongly disapprove of the second president, while 23% say they strongly disapprove of the second president.

Around 70% of Americans say they “strongly approve” or “strongly disapprove” Trump’s work performance, while 27% say they have a more calm opinion about the president. That includes either “slightly approved” or “slightly disapproved.”

When it broke down along the party line, most Democrats say they disapproved Trump, and most Republicans have approved him, consistent with what has been a consistent theme among the vote since Republicans took office for the second time in January.

A YouGov/Economist poll found that Democrats’ sentiment towards the president is even stronger than Republicans. Of his Republican supporters, over half describe their approval in equally passionate terms, with 54% saying they strongly approving his performance.

According to an August 22nd YouGov analysis of data, this is a shift from the early days of Trump’s second term.

January ,The majority still say they have a strong opinion about Trump, with 69% strongly sanctioning or disapproving it. However, unlike the latest polls, 36% of Americans strongly disapproved Trump at the time, and 34% strongly approved it.

This is an 11-point increase in respondents who strongly disapproved the president from the beginning of his term until the last few weeks. Similarly, an August survey showed a nine-point decline among those who say they have been strongly endorsing him since January.

The poll surveyed 1,568 US adults and had an error margin of ±3.5 percentage points. The overall approval rate marked the president at 40% approval and 56% disapproval.

The recent aggregation of approval votes from the New York Times and RealClearpolitics has led to 44% to 45% Trump approval, with disapproval rates of 53% and 50% as of August 24th.

Gallup’s historical analysis and averages show that Trump’s approval rating in the first July of both conditions is lower than that of other modern presidents. In comparison, former President Joe Biden had an average approval rate of 50% in July 2021, while former President Barack Obama’s approval rates in July were 57% and 46%, respectively. Gallup’s analysis shows Trump’s second term average is 42% so far.
