How to make your own margarita mix using just a few ingredients
You only need a few ingredients to make a delicious margarita mix at home.
problem solved
The margarita is a cocktail mainstay, and this drink with an elusive origin story will be celebrated on National Margarita Day on Sunday, February 22nd.
Tequila-based cocktails appeared after Prohibition, and by 1939 similar drinks like picadors and tequila sours were appearing in cocktail books. By the 1940s, margaritas were being served in many places, including California and Texas. The basic ingredients include tequila, lime juice (freshly squeezed is ideal), an orange liqueur like triple sec, and usually salt on the rim.
While there may be some uncertainty about the margarita’s origins, you’re sure to find a great deal on the drink this National Margarita Day.
